Last night I hosted a long overdue craft night and decided to try my hand at making a terrarium. They are really quite simple to make and lovely to look at. I especially like seeing the layers in the glass jar, they remind me of those colored sand art projects from preschool days. The trickiest . . .

In 2004 I started a little event called The Rock & Shop Market to bring attention to local designers like myself and highlight the talented musicians in the area. At the time there wasn't anything like it in the Triangle. Now, the area is ripe for designers selling their wares, similar events . . .

I haven't carved my pumpkin yet. Perhaps I'll be ambitious and create a pretty versus spooky design like these beautiful, lace-like and patterned pumpkins from Martha Stewart & the Domino flickr pool. Or perhaps I'll go with a standard face and focus my energy on making pumpkin soup instead. . . .
 I've been working on a new series of prints that will be available in my shop soon. I planned on giving a copy of this one to a friend for her baby shower but didn't have it printed in time ... Regan, do you still want one? ;) . . .
On this gray day I wonder: do you need to surround yourself with beauty to recognize it? Or do your senses become dulled when you see to much? Today I am surrounded by hundreds of yards of suede lace and cranking out production work. . . .
