Back in July I posted about this twin poster bed that I thrifted for $40 with plans to use it in my daughter’s room. Below is the piece when I found it:
And here’s a peek at what it looks like in her room now that I’ve painted in black and bought bedding for it. The textile hanging above the bed is one that I thrifted as well as the small stool to the right of her bed. The painting is by Duy Huynh a talented friend that I’ve written about before on this blog. The painting below that is one my husband’s Grandmother painted of my husband as a boy.
I’m pretty pleased with this simple and inexpensive makeover. We still have to buy a box spring for the bed and build a desk and some other things in my daughter’s room. For now though she loves it and that’s all that counts.
