Here is an update of happenings in my world through photos that I’ve snapped on instagram:
For the past couple of weeks I’ve been working on a fun food & prop styling job for a large advertisement for Southern Season in Garden & Gun Magazine. I can’t wait to show the results after the images are published in the November/December issue. I love styling and photography and honestly feel like it is the most intuitive and best output of all my creative endeavors. I am very excited to get back into that type of work now that the physical tasks that have consumed me for the past year (building Kindred, then Gather) are winding down.
The weather is so beautiful right now. Currently, the windows are open, the temperature is perfect and there are still flowers in the garden but leaves are beginning to turn too. I am just enjoying this change of season.
I’ve been doing a lot of home improvement type projects. That is a constant for me. Currently, I am working on building a number of things for Gather including a handsome a-frame sign to replace the temporary one we have out now. I am also in the middle of painting all the cabinets in our kitchen white, a project which I’ve wanted to do since we moved in seven years ago but am finally getting up the courage to do.
Here are a few quick snaps I took at the photo shoots. Always taking pictures of flowers.
