Every Thursday we pick up our overflowing box of organic vegetables from our CSA. For the past few weeks we’ve been getting turnips among other things. We’ve added them to mashed potatoes and made a gratin out of them. How do you cook them?
Recipes:
* Mashed Potatoes & Turnips – we didn’t use this recipe, but instead added Pecorino cheese and buttermilk because we had those in the refrigerator, and added rosemary from the garden.
* Turnip Gratin – this was really good, and had a creamy taste similar to peanut butter.

Thanks – this recipe looks good and simple.
I drizzled them with olive oil, little salt and pepper, and roasted them with squash and onions. Yummy!
Sauteed squash, zucchini and onions with basil and parsley is so good. Makes me want some!
