Before I started my own business I worked as a graphic & web designer for seven years. I created shopping cart sites for Fortune 500 companies, multimedia kiosks for museums, marketing brochures for restaurants and co-produced a niche line of merchandise for tween girls. And, in my own business, through producing The Rock & Shop Market for six years, I’ve seen a huge discrepancy in the way artists and independent business owners market themselves versus large corporations.

Because of my varied yet design & marketing centric background I’ve been immersed in the world of corporate branding. As a result, I have a lot of insight into what makes a good brand and how most small businesses are lacking in that department. Most artisans are either unaware of the importance of good branding or know they could do better but don’t have enough business hours in the day (or legions of staff at their disposal) to add one more thing to their list of to-do’s.
