I’ve been laid up sick in bed for the past three days, as a result I’m getting the chance to update this blog with more of what’s been happening. Here are some visuals of what I’ve been working on at Gather this past month and a half:
I am carving out a small space of my own to work while I am in the space. Here it is before I had a chance to move the furniture around as I wanted it. The handsome table I picked up at the Salvation Army for $40. The huge bulletin board I was able to find at a yard sale for $5 (I actually got another one too for the same price), then covered it in canvas drop cloth that I had laying around.
We painted all the walls white and added shelving to the back. I picked up that library ladder for $8 at the Habitat ReUse store. The shelf brackets were actually silver but I couldn’t find them in black in that style so I just spray painted them.
Don’t you think that made a cool pattern?
Here the space is starting to come together but there is still much more to be done, including hanging the pendants.
I spray painted these to look more like metal letters.
It’s hard to tell from this photo but the bar area that was all existing white slat wall is being recovered in a beautiful wood.
Preparing one of the two locked studio spaces for the first tenants to move in. There is still one available if you or someone you know are interested.
My husband helping to put up more shelving for my own products.
The pendants are finally hung! Here’s a sneak peek.
I captured these two shots one evening as the sun was setting. The space has really pretty north facing light and in the evenings it is especially pretty.
