Here are some images that I’ve collected from magazines that are inspiring me. The sources where these images came from are unfortunately long gone, as these are scans from torn out pages.
A framed tapestry if done right can look modern and striking versus hippie dippie. I love the colors and feel of the artwork against that wooden wall in the image next to the tapestry. Below those two images, a very tall chalkboard similar to one we are going to put in Kindred for our events calendar, and finally a pretty cluster of leaning frames.
Above, some decorative touches that I am going to try to bring into Kindred: a stenciled concrete floor at the exterior door, handsome and traditional blue and white wallpaper, a vignette of branches mounted to look like antlers, and finally a partition wall made of rope.
